Name: Matt and Núria Leighton

Location: Spain
Ministry: Local Church - Matt and Núria serve in the Evangelical Church of Vilassar de Mar. Vilassar is Núria’s hometown, it’s about 30 minutes north of Barcelona, right along the coast. Matt is an elder in the church. His primary responsibilites include oversight of the teaching ministries and and pastoral care for the young married and college and career aged members. Núria is active in the Sunday School program and in music.
Instituto Bíblico y Seminario Teológico de España – Matt began teaching at the Evangelical Seminary in Barcelona in the fall of 2007. So far he has been teaching Pauline Theology and some Systematic Theology. Starting in 2008, he will be teaching Hebrew.
El Colegio Bíblico de la Gracia - “Grace Bible College” has been functioning for about 15 years. Matt is currently the Director of this institution, and professor of New Testament and Systematic Theology. Most of the teaching in the Colegio Bíblico is done by correspondence, although Matt has a number of students that live nearby, which enables them to have regular lectures.
Doctoral Studies - “On the side,” Matt is chipping away at a PhD in New Testament Studies through the University of Salamanca. His project has to do with the theology of covenant in Paul’s writings.
